Activate My Potential (AMP) is a unique partnership and bespoke programme run through Reading College, aiming to provide a smooth transition to individuals when leaving College into long term, meaningful voluntary work. The course is focused on empowering individuals, supporting them to make informed choices about their employment options, allowing us to help them move towards a rewarding and fulfilling life.

As an AMP Employment Support Coach, we’ll rely on you to support clients by enabling them to attend education-based training, helping to deliver the workshops and providing admin and programme support for education based sessions. Assisting them within their work experience, volunteering will be important too, as will providing travel training/transport when required.

To join us, you’ll need a good level of education a can-do approach, lots of empathy and initiative and experience of working with people with additional needs/challenging behaviour. You’ll also need a real desire to make a real difference to young people’s lives. A proven ability to work independently, promote a positive attitude and prioritise your own workload is essential too. What’s more, because you’ll be dealing with a variety of people excellent written and verbal communication skills are also required.

If you have what it takes to join us, we’ll reward you with competitive rates of pay, a mileage allowance (you’ll need a current driving licence and daily use of a car)
