Further information

We are currently looking for passionate individuals to join our unique Independent Living Services (ILS) in the Wokingham area, to help support people with Learning Disabilities who live in their own homes.

As a valued Support Worker you will be helping our customers to live as independently as possible.

Due to the nature of the role, a full driving licence with access to a vehicle is preferred, and some houses may have an adapted, manual vehicle which you may be required to drive. However, for the right candidate a driver’s licence is not essential as long as you are creative with public transport to be able to support our customers with their daily needs.

The role will include but not be limited to:
• Helping customers with day to day living
• Helping with their personal care
• Assisting our customers with their daily tasks
• Supporting customers with their interests and hobbies
• Attend training
• Adhering to professional standards and legislation
• Contributing to records – keeping accurate and legible daily records

The hours of the role can vary depending on the customer’s care package, however shifts would typically be 07:00-15:00 and 15:00-22:00. Full time Support Workers would be required to be available for at least one sleep over in every 7-10 days (dependent on the service).

Successful candidates will receive a comprehensive induction and on-going training programme, as well as regular supervision and support from a team of staff and Managers to ensure you are a fully equipped to support our customers.

If you are caring, empathetic, a good communicator and listener then this is the career for you.
