A key role in Homecare, we are looking for an experienced Senior Support Worker to encourage, support, co-ordinate and motivate care staff whilst working alongside them to provide high quality care to our customers.

We are looking for a dedicated and empathic Senior Support Worker to work in an established team. Working in a social care environment can be challenging, but the sense of achievement and daily recognition more than compensates. All applicants must have a full driving license and use of a suitable vehicle at all times.

The successful applicant will be responsible for the ongoing supervision of support workers and will ensure that customer requirements are met whilst maintaining compliance of care in line with Optalis Policies and Procedures. You must demonstrate commitment to working within a team and have a flexible approach to working hours and practices in order to meet the needs of the service. This role will involve an element of on-call duties.

As the Senior Support Worker your responsibilities will include but not be limited to:

• Complete all risk assessments and care plans for domiciliary packages to ensure person centered and appropriate care packages are delivered and that continuity of care is a priority.
• Providing support to customers and care staff and where necessary, to work as a “hands on” carer
• Ensure all care staff are compliant with mandatory training and competencies
• Undertake supervisions, spot checks, investigation meetings, etc. for all staff.
• To assist the manager in auditing the standard of service delivery to customers.
• Be computer literate with the capability to learn our bespoke rostering system to ensure visits are efficiently and effectively programmed.
• Assist the Service with care worker interviews.
