Further information

We are looking for three Occupational Therapists to join our Physical Disabilities and Older Peoples Team (PDOPT) based in Maidenhead while working largely from home. They are full time posts but part time working patterns can be discussed for the right candidate. We are looking for OTs whom connect with the core values of Optalis and can therefore thrive within our organisation.

The candidates should be a dynamic Multi Disciplinary Team worker with good self-direction. They should be able to use their own initiative and have a sound understanding of the Care Act and relevant legislation. We are part of the social care PDOPT service for Windsor & Maidenhead residents and work closely with other community-based services and acute health teams within the area. As an OT in this team you will work closely with social work colleagues, care providers, reps and contractors to ensure that care provision and individually based needs are met.

We are a small, enthusiastic & driven OT Team looking for ways to develop the service further. We want to ensure our practise is in line with current changing needs, guidelines and developments and is delivered at a constant high level. We work with adults in the community whom require support with their long term physical and environmental needs. The caseload you hold will be very diverse and guarantees a large scope of challenges and learning opportunities for you as an OT. Your caseload will reflect your experience but also your personal set learning objectives and interests. Our great senior OTs and experienced OT assistants are ready to assist you along the way.

Currently we are seeking OTs for several tasks and roles within the team. Depending on experience, interest and developing needs your work load could include the covering of triaging new referrals and the rapid input with manual handling tasks, seating assessments rehousing assessments and Disability Facility Grant related assessments. The team is working within the Boroughs vision and 5 year transformation plan, and several new OT projects are emerging to assist with reaching the focus on prevention and long term support of people with needs in the community.

You must have a BSc qualification in Occupational Therapy (or equivalent) and be registered with the Health Professions Council.

We will be looking to hold interviews virtually via Microsoft Teams.
