We are looking for an Occupational Therapist to join our Physical Disabilities and Older Peoples Team (PDOPT) based in Maidenhead. This person should be a dynamic Multi Disciplinary Team worker with good self-direction. They should be able to use their own initiative and have a sound understanding of the Care Act and relevant legislation. We are part of the social care PDOPT service for Windsor & Maidenhead residents and work closely with other community based services and acute health teams within the area. As an OT in this team you will work closely with reps and contractors to ensure that care provision and individually based needs are met.
We are a small Occupational Therapy Team & work with adults in the community whom require support with their long term needs. The caseload you hold will be very diverse and guarantees a large scope of challenges and learning opportunities for you as an Occupational Thearpist. Your caseload will reflect your experience but also your personal set learning objectives and interests which will be set during your regular supervision. A wide variety of training opportunities will be offered to encourage your personal professional development and to be a part of our teams pro-active program of change. As a Long Term Need service we complete a range of assessments and interventions in the areas of manual handling, seating, aids and adaptations, disabled facilities grant work and provide long term professional support.
You must have a BA/BSc qualification in Occupational Therapy, and be registered with the Health Professions Council.
