The Governance and Quality Assurance Department combine a number of functions relating to Performance Monitoring, Audit & Review, and Information Governance for Internal and External Services, Project Management and Business Support to offer assurance, direction and guidance to the wider statutory teams and functions across the Optalis Services.
Governance and Quality Improvement is achieved by setting high standards through scrutiny, direction and support, driving a continuous learning cycle, which supports the organisation in its pursuit of excellence.
We are looking for a self-motivated individual who will help us continue to succeed in our levels of quality and compliance. The Information Governance Officer (IGO) will support the IG agenda, ensuring the organisation continues to comply with General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and Data Protection Act (DPA) 2018, ideally with previous experience with either Social Care or Local Authorities.
This post will ensure the business receives accurate monthly reports supported with any relevant action plans, including identifying relevant trends for regular business activity and high impact areas of the business.
The successful candidate will also assume accountable delegated responsibility for complying with all aspects of information governance processing; including Freedom of Information, Subject Access Requirements, General Data Protection and Environmental Information Regulations regimes.
