The Royal Borough of Windsor & Maidenhead and Wokingham Borough Council have combined the delivery of their Adult Social Care into a jointly owned Local Authority Trading Company, Optalis. We are the only organisation in the UK to provide a full range of adult social care services. Very much a people-centred organisation, we offer choice and quality to our customers and communities alike.

We’re looking for a Chief Executive Officer to lead the company to the next stage of its development and help us write the next chapter in our success. It’s a journey that will see us achieve our aims by continuing to deliver excellent services to our customers, communities and shareholders alike and, where appropriate, work effectively with health and government departments too. As well as heading up an executive team, you’ll work closely with the Chair of the Optalis Ltd. Board to ensure we deliver these goals. You will be the designated strategic finance lead for the company and we’ll also rely on you to play a strategic role in developing the new service delivery models needed in the current environment of growing demand and reduced resources, keeping us firmly at the forefront of the sector as a result.

To succeed, you’ll need to be educated to degree level and demonstrate experience in a business environment. An understanding of, and ability to work with, the public sector with a variety of key stakeholders along with the ability to work with partners to develop innovation in delivery models and new ways of working is an advantage.
